We as a society are constantly being too rough on our bodies because we think we don’t have time to treat it right. Well here is a recipe you can make that is quick, easy, and a nice treat to eat that you won’t feel guilty about indulging in. We can all uses a little TLC now again, so you can do it with this yummy snack.
Now you may notice that there is chocolate in the recipe and may ask, “how in the world can this be good for me?” Well as I always say everything is good in moderation, also this recipe is apart of the flat belly diet so therefore it can’t really be that bad for you. Right?
Ingredients
3 tablespoons trans-free margarine
1 bag (10 oz) marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
4 cups cornflakes
2 cups Cheerios
2 cups semisweet chocolate baking chips
Directions
First melt the margarine in a large pot over medium heat. Once this has melted add the marshmallows, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Once all of these have melted together take the pan off the heat and add the cornflakes, Cheerios and 1 ½ cups of the chocolate chips. Mix this all together till the chocolate is evenly distributed amongst the cereal mix. After this pour the mix into a greased 8 x 8 baking dish and flatten the mix with wax paper to fit the mix into the corners of the dish. Make sure it is nice and flat, then pop it in the fridge.
Next melt ½ cup of chocolate chips. You can pop them in the microwave (I recommend 15 seconds then mix and repeat till fully melted) or boil water, a low simmer, and stick a bowl on top and continue mixing till the chocolate is a creamy consistency. It should take about 4 or 5 minutes. Once this is all melted pull out the cereal mix and pour the chocolate on top. Uses a spatula to easily cover the entire pan. Then stick it back in the fridge so it can cool. After about 20- 40 minutes pull it out and cut into eight bars. Wah lah. One bar is one serving, and they are huge so enjoy!
