Get Lost in the River with Gosling

April 10, 2015

Ryan Gosling makes his directorial debut with the movie Lost River. The movie has been described as a dark gothic tale about love, family and the fight to survive harsh surroundings.  Former Doctor Who actor Matt Smith plays the character named ‘Bully’ in this picture. The movie was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France on 20th May 2014.

Ryan made a notable break in his career in the movie ‘Remember the Titans’ where he played a young and playful footballer. He then moved on to star in movies such as Drive, A Place Beyond The Pines (featuring rising actor Emory Cohen), and Only God Forgives. In these movies he took the responsibility of the acting lead seriously and he delivered strong and mature performance. The cinematography and story structure of Lost River have their roots in Ryan’s previous work. He seems to be a devotee to good storytelling, with a respect for the art form.

We will be keeping a close eye on Gosling’s future works and we encourage you to do the same.  Lost River hits UK Theatres on the 10th of April 2015
